Included in LG’s new variety of the mini nano projector this unit provides hours of entertainment and with ease and freedom never seen before in a projector.
Impressively because of its size the LG mini nano projector can offer viewers an enormous 100-inch screen, bigger than many TVs available today.
With the appearance of a robot pebble, the mini-projector is just larger than 10 cm wide and sits just 4 cm high. It is sleekly designed with patterned holes for ventilation and noise. On one side of this projector is a dial to control the focus of this image and on the other is the DC interface for charging.
Behind the lens is an interface for sound jack, HDMI, power switch, and USB. On top of the unit is a browsing button for opening the menu, turning off the device and controlling the quantity.
The mini-projectors come in an assortment of bulb brightnesses. The one tested was 100 lumens, which was strong enough by itself.
Bulbs on traditional projectors are proven not to last very long, but LG’s LED light is believed to last for 30 000 hours. This means it could be used for 20 years when using it for four hours every day.
The unit can, through USB, play a selection of codecs such as AVI, MP4 and MKV. Therefore it can provide playing movies in 1080p, 1080i, 720p and 480p in a screen size, determined by the screen to projector space of around 100 inches.
The unit can also be doubles-up as a handy business partner, able to display PowerPoint and Excel files from the origin of a USB.
The mini-projector is among the simplest of new technology devices to use. Always consider how to operate a normal size TV, condensed in the palm of their hand.
Simply plug a notebook, DStv decoder or even gaming console to the unit and you are all set to go.
The mini-projector even has WiFi capabilities to display share immediately from a smartphone or tablet computer.
When you plug in a USB drive, either disk or external hard drive into the device, you will see that a menu will be displayed and out of their content from the disc you can make a choice, either together with the navigation button or remote control.

The mini nano projector provides great video playback, particularly from a device of its size.
The unit is best seen on a white wall or screen in a darkened room. Or you might use a camera tripod to point the unit at your ceiling and project material as you lie in bed. This because the mini-projector even caters for a screw-on base-plate for stands.
Without a power supply, the system boasts a two-hour battery life which could be reduced based upon the external source connected to it.
When casting, the fan of this unit is heard, but not loud enough to be distracting.
The audio quality of the mini-projector is loud enough for one individual in little room, but for louder sound, users may go so far as linking a home theater system to the device using the audio jack interface.
Convenience and performance of this mini-projector is unmatched and it’s undoubtedly a must-have tech-gadget for 2016. Best of all it could be thrown into a bag and carried around everywhere.
This concludes our test for the LG MiniBeam nano projector, the super ultra portable Pico Projector!
