A to some extent amateurish attempt at demonstrating the Microvision ShowWx laser pico projector I just approved from Device Plus in Spain. Microvision will be promotion these to the public beginning March 24th at a cost of $549. Me, I paid $636 from Device Plus to get one a few weeks early.

I already got one and wish vga dock was less vital.

Sh-sh-sh… Here is a coupon code to get VGA Dock for free when you buy SHOWWX at the Microvision site (if not it’s $50!): MVISREF1229. Valid until 9/30/2010

Awesome job. Your video really shows off the quality of the depiction and it must in fact be even better than the video represents. I approved mine today.

This looks awesome, thank you for your review

@cukleti you’ll see some speckle at less vital screen sizes, but i dont see it as a scare, i actualy kind of like it cuz it makes the image SPARKLE!

  • darkjedispencer · August 29, 2010 at 2:52 am

this is doubtless one of the best videos i have seen for this manufactured goods. most of the videos are at shows and conventions and only show how it looks in brightly lit rooms, which doesn’t give the best model of how excellent it can be.

  • cukleti · August 29, 2010 at 3:05 am

Do you notice the speckle look?

  • Djluv5 · August 29, 2010 at 3:48 am

    not enough sharp

  • AmazinRaisin1 · August 29, 2010 at 4:05 am

Thankfulness for the info. I have watched the video three or four times. Every time I’m in awe about the image at 8ft…..from a device so small. Thankfulness Again.

As a name below said, it’s always in focus since it’s laser light. It doesn’t even have a lens – just a window owing to which the beams stem. I had to get it in Spain since Microvision doesn’t yet have a U.S. distributor, but they are currently promotion a Limited Journal via their website for $999. They have stated that they will start promotion the version I have on Mar 24 for $549. I paid $636 for my Show plus the VGA dock.

  • tybrady64 · August 29, 2010 at 4:17 am

Wow! It’s LASER, thus not anything to focus!

  • pvandeloo10 · August 29, 2010 at 4:51 am

    Fantastic manufactured goods.

Coming from a device unequally the size of an iPhone, I have to say I’m impressed with the image quality and brightness.

I can’t wait to get one of these coupled to an iPhone or BlackBerry to do sales presentations. It’ll be even better when Microvision’s PicoP engine gets embedded in smartphones and diplomacy like the iPad.

Thankfulness for the try – nice job! It’s been a long time waiting for this superlative manufactured goods to be introduced on a wide scale and it needs all positive pointer we can give it.

amazingly vivid depiction…like it could compete with a tv

  • wiibart · August 29, 2010 at 6:00 am

It looks very high quality, fantastic video. Thankfulness

  • watchtoday1 · August 29, 2010 at 6:44 am

WOW!! I cant wait to get one! Better than I probable.

  • DrWit · August 29, 2010 at 7:13 am

I can’t wait until this is embedded into cell phones… I’ve used the Show WX and can’t judge the image quality from a touch so small (the battery takes up most of what you see).

  • thinkingbricks · August 29, 2010 at 7:18 am

    nice, thx!

marvel if youtube cuts the audio or forces the video down b/c its showing an “unlicensed” music video

  • counterbond · August 29, 2010 at 8:12 am

Lasers are always in focus. No focus looked-for.

  • qx773 · August 29, 2010 at 8:54 am

The Microvision ShowWX projector uses three laser beams, one for each primary color, red, blue, and green. The lasers are bounced off a tiny mirror that pivots up and down and left and right. The low deviation of the laser beams eliminate the need for a focusing lens. The ShowWX was first unhindered in Asia and Europe. The scheduled relief in the USA is this month. It costs nearly $500. The limited journal version costs about $1,000.
