Blake from SI Screens trains the Projector People team on Black Diamond screen notes. Note the demonstration of the Black Diamond screen notes versus standard white notes at approximately (2:05) of the video. You can see light that was reflecting off of the white screen onto the ceiling completely disappear. Unfortunately our room is not as dark as it could be since we have a light coming in from under the door. Then note the impressive image with the illumination on at (2:50). This image looks a bit better in person, but you still get a sense of how well the Black Diamond screens maintain brightness and contrast with the illumination on. The image is akin to a plasma or LCD TV. Blake compares the Black Diamond image to an $80000 image just a few years ago. My Panasonic PT-AE900U projector has started to spectacle vertical black lines from top to underside of the image.

They are perfectly symmetrical, about an inch apart from each other. Any clue what this could be? Is this the result of a background that I can change?

I have tried multiple inputs including VGA, etc, but it still looks the same.

If the typical screen (movie screen or home projector screen) is sharp white then how do you shine a light to make the white screen black (say when the credits are rolling and all owing to fades)? For those that reckon the black projection is projected without light, I did not find this to be right.
