I unbox and review one of Acer’s newest consumer projectors, the X1160P. I really didn’t reckon it would perform as well as it did. The colours are sharp and vivid, the contrast is fantastic on standard documents and it is very compact. Here are the specs: DLP Contrast 2500:1 Max Res of 1440×900 Max Image size 50″ Best UK Price £256 For a full review, check out www.danielfoggin.co.uk

This is a review of the Discovery Wonderwall Multimedia Projector, demonstraiting it’s capabilities, and shortfalls. What’s built-in: * Projector (of way) * Composite A/V Cables (analog NTSC, USA version showed) * Special 3-episode DVD (DVD player not built-in in PJ, disparate Jaks Appeasing version) * Education Blue-collar (inside DVD wrap) The projector itself has a handle, which you can use for aiming the centered image privileged than flat down (no keystone minor change, it’s a toy, after all), and can be positioned vertically, to project descriptions on a ceiling. You twist the lens to focus the image, up to at least 120″ (can go out of), but you’ll have to do a lot of twisting. Due to the terrible point in the halogen lamp’s reflector, you are left with a blurred piece of video in the focal point, while the edges are clear. When viewing a solid color (black, most noticable), the uniformity is terrible, but won’t be too noticable when you’re watching a video, showing descriptions, etc. The high point of this projector is the sound quality. Contracted, it’s not anything special, nor has stuck-up range, it’s what you’d expect from small speakers, which isn’t all too terrible. With I could say the same about the video. It’s a low 320×240 LCD with Delta-Sample RGB nitty-gritty, which stands out like a sore thumb when video gets about 32″ in size. The dot pitch is demonstrated on a approximate 120″ image on a out of go up. The lens isn’t cut well enough for you to see the individual colors, even if some
